*Recognize and acknowledge that we must resist the devil and that resist is an action
word.
EXCERPT
And he asked his
father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast
him into the fire, and into the waters to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us and help us.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the
child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe: help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running
together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out
of him and enter no more into him.—Mark 21-25
Satan uses
many things to keep us in bondage to him and as I have stated earlier, many of these means are natural God given attributes
that are meant to be used to aid us in ways that bring us closer to Him, and helps us to learn of Him. Fear is not bad in
its proper place. Anger is not bad in its proper place. Sex is not bad in its proper place. Ambition is not bad in its proper
place. Sadness is not bad in its proper place. Partying is not bad in its proper place. The devil however, has a way of using
these very things to tempt us to employ them negatively while taking us to levels that are ugly and destructive in nature.
